'Chat GPT product': Ex-India cricketer calls out Harshit Rana, Nitish Rana for supporting Gautam Gambhir

Nitish and Harshit Rana's posts in support of Gautam Gambhir were so alike that the ex-Indian cricketer started to wonder if they were created using a Chat GPT product.

Former India batter Aakash Chopra recently criticized India cricketers Harshit Rana and Nitish Rana. This scrutiny emerged when both players posted nearly identical remarks on social media supporting Gautam Gambhir. The controversy began when Manoj Tiwary accused the current India head coach of hypocrisy, stating that he grabbed credit for the Kolkata Knight Riders' IPL championships in 2012 and 2014.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Tiwary criticized Gambhir for what he regards as hypocrisy, citing a previous interview in which Gambhir opposed the employment of foreign coaches yet later added Ryan ten Doeschate and Morne Morkel to his coaching staff.

Following Tiwary's statements, Nitish and Harshit Rana expressed their support for Gambhir on social media. However, Aakash Chopra questioned the eerie parallels between their words, claiming them resembled something generated by Chat GPT.

Speaking on his YouTube channel on Saturday, Aakash Chopra said, "Harshit Rana and Nitish Rana voiced their support for Gambhir on social media. If you look at it, it looks like a Chat GPT product."

"There are many similarities in both statements, or someone wrote them and sent them to post on social media. It felt like both statements were written by the same man or machine. It could be Chat GPT, for all we know," he added.

Gautam Gambhir is experiencing major backlash following India's defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which ended a decade of supremacy. Under Gambhir's leadership, India lost the ODI series against Sri Lanka and a Test series at home.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Tiwary outlined the various reasons behind India's challenges, highlighting that critical selection decisions were neglected. He also questioned Gambhir's coaching credentials, citing the significant difference between directing IPL teams and commanding a national side.

Reacting to Tiwary's comments, Aakash Chopra said, "Manoj Tiwary is right about one thing: he talked about Gautam Gambhir's old comment about foreign coaches. Let's be fair: Gautam Gambhir selected Ryan ten Doeschate and Morne Morkel. I have to be honest. Both Morne and Ryan are people with a heart of gold. They are sincere and honest, but they are not Indian."

"On the other hand, Manoj Tiwary talked about Gautam getting all the credit for KKR's success in IPL in 2012 and 2014. When discussing credit, you should give it, not take it. MS Dhoni never says anything, he stands on the completely opposite end, he never asks for credit but people give him credit. He has never asked for credit in a public forum, and people might not like him getting credit, but Dhoni has never asked for it himself," he added.
