The upcoming operations of Noida International Airport are anticipated to enhance regional connectivity and drive economic growth in Uttar Pradesh
Noida International Airport, located in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, is set to begin operations in April 2025. This marks a significant milestone for connectivity in the Delhi-NCR region, one of the busiest urban areas in India.
The airport, also known as Jewar Airport, has secured a 30-year oil supply contract with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a government-owned company. According to a statement from the airport operator, IOCL will establish fuel stations at three strategic locations on the airport premises: near the western approach road, at the airside for airport operations, and near the eastern cargo complex.
“This partnership with IndianOil is a major step towards operational readiness. It will ensure efficient fuel services at the airport for years to come,” said Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of Noida International Airport. The airport is expected to be inaugurated in the early months of the financial year 2025-26.
While IOCL has secured the contract for oil supply, other companies will provide additional energy solutions. Tata Power, a Tata Group company, will supply wind and solar energy, while Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) will handle the provision of air turbine fuel (ATF).
