Donald Trump’s pre-inauguration celebrations in Washington D.C saw many eminent guests, most of whom have an impressive portfolio and professional background. However, there is one among those guests, an Indian, who is very close to the 47th US President professionally.   

He is the founder of Tribeca Developers, Kalpesh Mehta. He shared a picture of himself along with Donald Trump on Instagram and wrote, “Incredible start to the inaugural festivities with an intimate friends and family evening at Trump National Sterling. Due to the collaboration between Kalpesh Mehta and Trump organisation, various properties owned by Trump Towers were developed pan India in big cities like Mumbai, Pune, Gurugram, and Kolkata.  

India is home to four Trump Tower properties, covering 3.5 million square feet, with more projects underway. The Gurugram and Kolkata Trump Towers are expected to be completed by 2025. This rapid expansion will likely make India the country with the most Trump Towers outside the US, surpassing the US itself.
