Tisca Chopra fools Darsheel Safary, reunites with him after 17 years in viral video, fans demand 'Taare Zameen Par 2'

As Taare Zameen Par completes 17 years, the popular on-screen mother-son, Tisca Chopra and Darsheel Safary reunited for a viral reel. Aamir Khan-produced Taare Zameen Par is among the biggest blockbusters that created a major impact on parents and children. The film reflects the inner turmoil of a child and also talks about dyslexia, a condition among kids which makes it difficult for them to read or write. The movie was led by child actor Darsheel Safary and it also starred Tisca Chopra in parallel lead. In the movie, Darsheel plays Ishaan Awasthi and Tisca plays his mother, Maya Awasthi. The movie has left such an impact that even 17 years later, fans want a reunion of Ishaan and Maya. 

Recently, Taare Zameen Par completed 17 years and Tisca shared a reel that went viral instantly. In the reel, Tisca and Darsheel reunite giving away a glimpse of Ishaan and Maya's life after so many years. In the video, Darsheel is seen seated on a sofa and reading an upside-down book. The camera zooms out and Tisca enters the frame holding two cards, one written with Dal, Chawal, Sabji, and another one with Pizza, Pasta, and Ice cream. Tisca takes the cards to Darsheel and asks him to pick one. Darsheel picks the Pizza-Pasta card, but he still ends up eating rice. Tisca looks into the camera and says 'still can't read', which means, Ishaan is still dyslexic.

Though Tisca made fun of Darsheel's dyslexic character, she mentioned in the caption that she didn't mock dyslexia. Sharing the video, Tisca wrote, "17 years of #TaareZameenPar @dsafary waiting for clap back. Disclaimer: We understand Dyslexia to be a serious issue that affects not just the person with Dyslexia but families too .. this reel is for humour only," with folded hands emoji. 

As soon as the reel was shared by Tisca, it went viral instantly with several netizens calling it a nostalgic ride to childhood memories. A netizen wrote, "There hasn’t been a single time when I’ve watched the movie and haven’t cried. The movie that changed our brain chemistry when it wasn’t even a thing! Thank you guys." Another netizen wrote, "So happy to see this reunion." Many fans also demanded "Taare Zameen Par 2."
