Saif Ali Khan reaches home after being discharged from hospital, thanks fans and well wishers; viral video

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in his home in a shocking incident last week. The National Award-winning actor was rushed to the Lilavati hospital, where he underwent a surgery in which a 2.5 inches of knife was removed from his wound. On Tuesday, Khan was discharged from the hospital and he went back to his home, along with his wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Now, several photos and videos has gone viral on social media in which Saif Ali Khan was seen outside his home. He was surrounded by several cops and security guards. The Omkara actor was seen thanking his fans and well wishers with joined hands for praying for his recovery. In the clip, his hand was covered with a black bandage.

The attack on Saif occurred in the early hours on Thursday, January 16, when an intruder entered the actor's home with the alleged intentions of theft. Saif, attempting to intervene during a confrontation between the intruder and his housemaid, sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine. Saif was rushed to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw.

A couple of days after the shocking incident, Mumbai Police arrested the accused from Thane. The attacker, identified as Mohammed Shehzad, was accused of being a Bangladeshi national who illegally entered India. As per reports, he was a national-level wrestling champion when he resided in Bangladesh.

When the incident happened, Kareena Kapoor Khan was present at home along with other members of the family and they all were sleeping. Later on Thursday, Kareena, through her note on Instagram, requested for privacy from the media and paparazzi and asked them to refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage.
