Saif Ali Khan was attacked by the intruder in his 12th-floor Bandra flat at around 2:30 am on Thursday. As Saif attempted to intervene and de-escalate the situation, it escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in the actor sustaining several stab wounds.
Saif Ali Khan, who was attacked on Thursday night during an attempted robbery at his Bandra home, is currently in the hospital post his surgery. Ever since the attack on his life, many celebrities and loved ones of the family have been posting messages of strength to the family. Among them is also Taimur Ali Khan’s former nanny, Lalita D’Silva, who has now expressed concern for Taimur and Jeh following the incident.
Speaking about the unfortunate incident, Lalita D’Silva told Pinkvilla, "I am feeling very bad, and it is unbearable for me to imagine how Taimur and Jeh will be feeling at this point, especially Jeh, who is so young. They must have got really scared. I am feeling very anxious about this whole incident and firmly believe that the culprits must be punished. I haven’t been able to speak to anyone from the family yet, but I wish and pray that they are all safe."
For the unversed, the Mumbai Police, on Friday, detained one person concerning the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case. The detained person was brought to the Bandra Police Station, where further investigation is currently underway. The attacker has been identified as Shahid by the police.

He was immediately taken to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after being stabbed by the intruder. He underwent surgery under the supervision of a team of doctors there.
Saif sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a lodged knife in the spine, and surgery was performed to remove a 2.5-inch-long knife from the actor's spine and repair his 'leaking spinal fluid'. Saif is "out of danger" but doctors are monitoring his recovery closely.
