Rashmika Mandanna reacts to success of Animal, Pushpa 2, calls December her lucky month: 'When I get the whistles...'

Actress Rashmika Mandanna reacted to the success of Animal and Pushpa 2: The Rule and also discussed how the month of December is her luckiest month. Rashmika has scored the biggest hits of her career, in Hindi with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and in Telugu with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule. Do you know one common factor between these two blockbusters? Both were released in December. 

Animal was released in cinemas on December 1, 2023, whereas, Pushpa 2 was released in cinemas on December 5, 2024. Reacting to the back-to-back successes, Rashmika admitted that December has been a fruitful month for her. "December has indeed been an amazing month for me, and I’m very grateful and thankful for everything, When I get the whistles and all the hoots for my scenes it makes me really really happy!" 

After delivering two blockbusters, Rashmika is geared up with an interesting lineup of films. Her upcoming projects include Hindi films, Chhava with Vicky Kaushal, Sikandar with Salman Khan, and Aayushmaan Khurrana's Thama. She also has the Telugu film The Girlfriend, bilingual Kubera for 2026. Rashmika will also be seen in Animal's sequel, Animal Park, which is expected to go on floors in 2026. 

Pushpa 2 The Rule box office collection

Sukumar-directed Pushpa 2 The Rule has broken all the possible box office records and set new benchmarks for Indian cinema. The Allu Arjun-starrer is the direct sequel to Pushpa The Rise: Part One (2021), and it has received positive responses from critics and audiences. Made with a reported budget of Rs 500 crores, the movie has grossed more than 1700 crores worldwide. The movie has also become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, earning Rs 770 crores. The movie is expected to enter Rs 800 crore club, and the biggest fact is that it's a dubbed version. The success of Pushpa 2 shows how Indian audiences love watching a film that caters to them and not to a few critics and urban audiences. Pushpa 2 will be followed by Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
