Khushi Kapoor breaks her silence on her nose job, lip fillers: 'People think plastic is...'

Khushi Kapoor, who is the daughter of the famous late actress Sridevi, recently talked about her decision to undergo cosmetic procedures, like getting a nose job and lip fillers.

The Archies actress opened up about this in a teaser for an upcoming episode of Curly Tales, which was shared on Instagram this past Monday. In the teaser, Khushi talks about her childhood, confessing that she was an "attention seeker" who loved being the center of attention. When questioned about her choice to be open about her cosmetic treatments, Khushi replied, "I don’t think it’s such a big deal. I see like the term plastic… Plastic is like people think it’s the biggest insult you can give someone."

Khushi went on to share her thoughts about her journey in the film industry, mentioning, "Before I even stepped into the industry, people had a preconceived notion of what I’m like and who I am. Most of it was negative."

The conversation started after an Instagram exchange in August last year, where Khushi replied to comments on an old video of her attending an event with her mother, Sridevi. The video, which reappeared just before the release of The Archies, showed a young Khushi.

One social media user remarked, “Khushi looks almost the same as she did before. It honestly seems like she just lost some weight.” Another user commented, “She was just 12 here, she had braces at the time, and later she got lip fillers, and that was it.”

In reply, Khushi addressed the speculation, stating, "@archivekhushii lip filler and (nose emoji) hahaha." She confirmed the procedures in a playful way. 

Khushi Kapoor, inspired by the success of her mother Sridevi and sister Janhvi Kapoor, entered Bollywood with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, a new adaptation of the popular comic series. In the 2023 film, she took on the role of Betty Cooper. Looking ahead, Khushi will star alongside Junaid Khan in her next film, Loveyapa.
