Kareena Kapoor breaks silence on Saif Ali Khan's stabbing incident, requests for privacy: 'We are still trying to...'

On Thursday morning, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times at his home and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for a surgery. The National Award-winning actor is now out of danger. Now, Saif's wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has issued her first statement after the horrific incident and requested the paps and media for privacy during this sensitive time.

Taking to her Instagram, Kareena shared a note that read, "It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage."

"While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time", she added.

Reacting to Kareena's post, several actors including Ranveer Singh, Malaika Arora, Dia Mirza, Bhumi Pednekar, and Nimrat Kaur among others wished speedy recovery for Saif Ali Khan and shared love and prayers for the family. Kareena's extended family members including Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were seen visiting Saif Ali Khan in the hospital on Thursday.

As per reports, an unknown man entered Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's house on 2:30 am on Thursday. When he argued with their domestic help, Saif tried to pacify him but was stabbed. Mumbai Police are investigating the matter and has shared the first visual of the suspected attacker from the CCTV camera in the stairs on their building.
