Govinda's wife Sunita says they often use 'abusive language' with each other: 'Mujhey aaj tak vishwaas...'

Sunita Ahuja, who is married to Bollywood icon Govinda, recently opened up about their unusual bond and straightforward relationship in an interview with Hauterrfly.

Joined by their daughter, Tina Ahuja, Sunita shared candid details about their marriage, revealing some unexpected and amusing aspects of how she and Govinda interact. When asked how she feels about Govinda working with female co-stars, Sunita explained that their relationship doesn't follow the usual "husband and wife" dynamic.

She shared, “Aaj tak bhi nhi lagta ki hum husband-wife hai. (Even today, I don’t feel that we’re man and wife) ” Sunita went on to describe their playful interactions, adding, “Galiya galoch chalti hai humari. (We often use abusive language with each other)” She also humorously mentioned that she frequently teases Govinda, saying, “Mujhey aaj tak vishwaas nhi hora tu mera pati hai. (I still can’t believe you’re my husband).”

Sunita also shared a story from their early years when she shifted from wearing miniskirts to sarees to honor Govinda's mother’s preferences. In an appearance on the Time Out with Ankit podcast, she recalled Govinda telling her, “My mother won’t approve.” Sunita responded, “I agreed to wear sarees because it didn’t matter—I had to win him over no matter what.”

Sunita, recognized for her lively personality, is a devoted wife and a fun and supportive mother to their children, Yashvardhan and Tina. On the professional side, Govinda, who dominated Bollywood in the 1990s with blockbusters like Hero No. 1 and Coolie No. 1, was last seen in the comedy Rangeela Raja.
