While Ranbir is locked to play the villain, Aditya Chopra has reportedly proposed Vicky to play cop role in Dhoom 4.
Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly set to start filming Dhoom 4 next year, and now, rumours suggest another Bollywood A-lister may join the franchise. Yash Raj Films is allegedly planning to expand the Dhoom universe by introducing fresh faces. According to insiders, YRF's Aditya Chopra has approached Vicky Kaushal for not one, but two potential projects, sparking speculation about his possible involvement in Dhoom 4.
According to the latest report, Aditya is keen on roping in Vicky Kaushal for standalone cop films. “Aditya has grand plans for expanding the YRF Spy Universe and aims to introduce fresh faces to carry forward the legacy established by the Khans. He wants Vicky to headline one of the standalone cop films, bringing new energy to the expanding cinematic universe. However, this is still in the planning stages, as they are waiting to see how ‘Alpha’, the film introducing Alia Bhatt and Sharvari to the Spy Universe, performs at the box office," an insider told Peepingmoon.com.
While Ranbir is locked to play the villain, Aditya has reportedly proposed Vicky to play cop role in Dhoom 4. "’ Dhoom’ is a legacy; securing a starring role in such a sought-after franchise could significantly boost one's career. Which of these projects Vicky will commit to depends largely on his availability, as his schedule is packed until April 2026. Both Vicky and Aditya are currently coordinating dates, aiming for a collaboration sometime in 2026," the source added.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is currently juggling several projects including Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava, a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, a period romantic drama co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Besides these, Vicky also has Amar Kaushik’s Mahavatar, where he will feature as Chiranjeevi Parshurama.
