After getting brutally trolled, Urvashi Rautela apologies to Saif Ali Khan for her 'insensitive' remark: 'I'm ashamed'

Actress Urvashi Rautela has issued a public apology for her comments on Saif Ali Khan's injury and admitted that she was 'ignorant and insensitive' about the matter. Recently Urvashi was asked to react to the horrific incident of Saif Ali Khan being stabbed. However, Urvashi, who was promoting her film Daaku Maharaj, started boasting about the expensive Rolex watch she received after the film's success. 

Urvashi said that due to such incidents, she would be hesitant to roam around wearing an expensive watch that he got from her mother. She said, "It is very unfortunate. Now Daaku Maharaaj has crossed Rs 105 crore at the box office and my mother gifted me this diamond-studded Rolex, while my father gifted me this mini watch on my finger, but we don't feel confident to wear it outside openly. There is this insecurity that anybody can attack us. Whatever happened was very unfortunate."

Soon her comment went viral, and Urvashi got brutally trolled for her statement. Netizens slammed her for being 'insensitive'. 

Urvashi Rautela's apology 

On Instagram, Urvashi Rautela penned a long note, and later deleted. In the note, Urvashi said, "Dear Saif Ali Khan Sir, I hope this message finds you in strength. I am writing with a deep sense of regret and heartfelt apology. Until now, I was completely unaware of the intensity of the situation you are facing. I feel ashamed that I allowed myself to be consumed by the excitement surrounding Daaku Maharaaj and the gifts I was receiving, instead of pausing to acknowledge and understand what you are going through."

The statement further reads, "Please accept my sincerest apologies for being so ignorant and insensitive. Now that I know the gravity of your case, I am deeply moved and want to extend my unwavering support. Your grace, dignity, and resilience during such a challenging time are truly admirable, and I have nothing but immense respect for your strength." 

Urvashi wrote that she deeply regret her earlier behaviour and want to assure him that her thoughts and prayers are with him. She ended the note saying , "If there is any way I can be of help or support, please do not hesitate to let me know. Once again, I am truly sorry, sir, for my earlier indifference."  Even after putting out the apology, Urvashi face heat of the netizens, and many of them called her 'wannabe' and 'attention seeker'
