Aashiqui actress Anu Aggarwal gets brutally trolled for her party video: 'Don't ruin your history, this is so cheap'

Anu Aggarwal made her debut in the Mahesh Bhatt-directed musical blockbuster Aashiqui, along with Rahul Roy, in 1990. The actress was only seen in a few films before she quit the industry. In 1999, Anu was involved in a serious accident, that left her in coma for 29 days and wiped her entire memory clean.

The actress is now quite active on Instagram and keeps sharing photos and videos from her personal life. On Monday, Anu shared a small clip of herself dancing wearing a small dress. Along with the video, she wrote, "Go all the way! Party hard Work hard Meditate my motto." However, the actress was brutally trolled for her choice of clothes and how she danced in the clip.

One of her followers wrote, "What the heII? Please Anu keep your class, We loved you in Aashiqui, Don't ruin your history", while another added, "Be classy Anu. What is this cheapness?". "Why on earth she's doing this cheap dance? Please save this for Rakhi Sawant or Sherlyn Chopra", read another comment. Commenting on her choice of clothes, another Instagram user wrote, "This is not 1990 madam, we are in 2024. When will you grow and avoid wearing kids frock? This is so cheap."

In an interview earlier this year, Anu had shared that she has no memory of acting in Aashiqui after her accident. She told Indian Express, "I watched the film when I had my memory loss after the accident. My mother played it for me, but I couldn’t relate with it at all. I couldn’t relate with the girl on screen! My mother kept saying, ‘That’s you!’ I just like a child kept looking at it, but I couldn’t connect. At that time Aashiqui 2 was out, so she then played that for me. But nothing still made sense to me. She told me, 'See this was your film Aashiqui and now they have made Aashiqui 2.' I asked her, 'What is 2?' Because I didn’t know numbers, what was one, two, three. That was my state."

After Aashiqui, Anu was seen in a few other movies such as King Uncle, Khal-Naaikaa, and Janam Kundli among others, but none of them could match the success of her debut blockbuster film.
