Indian automaker Tata Motors has launched the much-awaited Curvv Coupe SUV in India with pricing starting at Rs 9.99 lakh and going up to Rs 17.69 lakh, ex-showroom.
Indian automaker Tata Motors has launched the much-awaited Curvv Coupe SUV in India with pricing starting at Rs 9.99 lakh and going up to Rs 17.69 lakh, ex-showroom. The price tags will be applicable to bookings made before October 31, 2024.
The Tata Curvv comes in four primary trim levels: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished, with further sub-variants available. This makes the Curvv the eleventh contender in the competition of the compact SUV market.
The Curvv, built on Tata Motors’ newest ATLAS platform, carves its unique identity from the Curvv EV, in numerous ways. The Curvv boasts a front grille that comes with air vents for engine cooling, and a uniquely designed air dam. In addition to this, the Curvv sports an 18-inch alloy wheels, offering a stark contrast to the EV model that puts extra emphasis on aerodynamics to enhance its drive range.
The Curvv, rival to Hyundai Creta, is available in eight variants and six colour options - Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Flame, Opera Blue, Pure Grey and Gold Essence.
The Tata Curvv invites you into its stylish interior, with it’s dual-tone burgundy and black. With similarities to the EV model, the Tata Curvv provides a variety of interior colour choices. One of the car's highlight features is its four-spoke steering wheel, elegantly adorned with a backlit Tata logo. It's equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The dashboard also features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, nine-speaker JBL sound system and a wireless phone charger.
The Accomplished+ A trim level gets additional features such as ventilated front seats with six-way electrical adjustment for the driver and a rear bench with a two-step recline function.
Safety features in the Curvv include a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, electronic stability control, all disc brakes, TPMS, and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Curvv brings Tata Motors' newest innovation - 1.2-litre GDi turbocharged petrol engine, named Hyperion, producing 124 bhp and 225 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCA) transmission. Interested buyers should note that Tata's Hyperion engine is available from the Creative S trim level with a starting price tag of Rs 13.69 lakh.
Lower variants of the Tata Curvv are feature of 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine found in the Tata Nexon, generating 119 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque. This engine is also equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCA automatic transmission, both featuring paddle shifters for manual gear control.
In addition, the Curvv model features a 1.5-liter Kyrotec diesel engine. This engine boasts a capability of 117 bhp and delivers 260 Nm of troque. It is paired with 6-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
