The wait is finally over as the luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has expanded its SUV range by launching the latest GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line in India. Now, all GLE SUV models by Mercedes-Benz, including the GLE 300d, GLE 450d, and GLE 450, are available with the AMG Line. The 2024 GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line starts at a price of Rs 97.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

“The GLE remains Mercedes-Benz’s most successful SUV in India with over 22000 units on Indian roads, firmly reiterating the overwhelming customer response since its debut,” says Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

“GLE’s high customer acceptance is now further bolstered with the introduction of a dynamic ‘AMG Line’ in the GLE 300d variant.” 

“The AMG Line in the GLE 300d enhances the SUV’s visual appeal, making it more dynamic with a striking exterior, underlining the growing customer demand for an ‘AMG Line’ in our vehicles. Mercedes-Benz continues to introduce new products and timely updates, listening to customer preferences and market requirements,” he further said. 

The new GLE 300d AMG Line replaces the GLE 300d, featuring the sporty AMG Line with an even sportier look.

The GLE 300d AMG Line features 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, painted in tremolite grey with a high-sheen finish. 

The brake system's performance and safety have been enhanced on the front axle, thanks to the introduction of larger perforated brake discs.

It also includes a single louvre painted in dark grey matte, complemented by chrome inserts and a black frame.

Powerful ISG-assisted engines with 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission as standard take the Mercedes-Benz driving experience to a new level.

With the second generation of the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, the GLE is now also up to date. The vehicle interior becomes even more digital and intelligent, as both the hardware and software have made great strides: numerous vehicle and comfort functions can be controlled on the LCD screens in brilliant display views.

Mercedes-Benz has upgraded its GLE 300d 4MATIC to feature a 2.0-liter diesel engine, complete with a modern 48V mild-hybrid technology, delivering an extra 20bhp through its Integrated Starter Generator (ISG).  The vehicle makes use of a 9G-TRONIC automatic transition facilitating buttery smooth and economical rides. The 1,993cc four-cylinder engine generates 265bhp and 550Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 230 km/h.
