DNA TV Show: Is there conspiracy to destroy evidence in Kolkata doctor murder-rape case as CBI begins probe?

CBI on Wednesday launched its investigation into the alleged rape-murder of a woman doctor at a state-run hospital in Kolkata. This comes after Calcutta High Court transferred the case from state police to the central agency. With this, tampering with the evidence related to the incident has also started. The CBI has currently called for all the evidence and documents related to this case to its office. Interrogation of the accused Sanjay Roy has also started. However, the hospital administration is accused of tampering with the evidence.

Some pictures have surfaced from RG Kar Medical College where the incident took place. Pictures show construction and demolition work is going on at the site. You will be surprised to know that the room in which this work is going on is right next to the seminar hall.

A video of this is also going viral in which it is visible that Kolkata Police personnel are sitting in front of the seminar hall. Construction work is going on right next to it. Imagine that a brutal incident of rape and murder has taken place at a crime scene and the investigation of that incident is also going on. Despite this, demolition and construction work is being done on the same floor, next to the crime scene. Is its purpose to damage the evidence related to the crime?

This incident has once again made the questions of the victim's family serious, They had said that after the incident, the hospital administration first informed them about the daughter being ill, then after that informed them about her committing suicide. Whereas, their daughter had already been murdered. CBI now has to fill the gap between the police theory and the truth. CBI has to find answers to many questions such as:

• Was there only one accused or were there many accused involved in the incident? The postmortem report points towards this.
• The seminar hall was kept open even after the incident. Construction has started on the same floor. Was this done as a conspiracy?
• Was the evidence tampered with after the incident?
• Why did the hospital administration tell the victim's family that the daughter had committed suicide? Was it an attempt to save someone?
• Why was the victim's family made to wait for 3 hours to see the daughter's body?
• Who was with the victim before the incident, and whom did she talk to?
• Why was the college principal not questioned about the incident?
• Is the brutality done to the victim some kind of revenge?

There are two challenges before the CBI. The first is to find out the truth of the crime. The second is to deal with those elements of the state who are working to destroy the evidence related to the crime and misdirect the case. These are the people who do not want the CBI to reach the truth.
